Services

Services offered include project management, consultancy & provision of supervisory personnel in support of the following main activities:

	Cables - submarine fibre optic cable route planning & engineering; landfall inspections & desktop studies, client representation for offshore surveys.
	Wind Energy - support for all survey & environmental aspects of the offshore and onshore wind farm industry.
	Interpretation - geophysical interpretation & reporting and QC of contractor's reports.
	Desktop Studies - desktop studies for cable & pipeline routes. Feasibility studies for port & harbour developments and windfarm proposals .
	QC Supervision - provision of client representatives on survey vessels or to contractor's offices to QC data quality, data processing & job performance.
	Dredging - supporting the dredging industry in project management, geophysical interpretation and sand searches for reclamation projects.
	Expert Witness - advises on claim defence and dispute resolution, arbitration, preparation of expert witness reports and appearance in court as an expert witness.
	Survey Report Checking and Proof Reading - a new service reviewing Contractor's survey reports on behalf of Clients. Offers an in depth check for accuracy, identifies errors and suggests corrections and areas of improved presentation. If necessary will check processing and interpretation of datasets.

In general all offshore projects are charged on a day rate basis for a nominal 12 hours day. Mobilisation and demobilisation times including consultants travel time from home are also chargeable at the same set day rate irrespective of how many hours are involved. I am happy to arrange flights which are normally economy class for UK or European travel but business class for all long haul flights. Documented and allowable expenses are requested to be reimbursed at actual cost although a 10% service charge may sometimes be added. For work in Client's offices the same day rate is usually applicable although some clients prefer an hourly rate.; From November 2010 Pacific Geoservices is offering Client's and survey contractors an independent proof reading/QC check of survey reports to check for accuracy and whether the reports meet the survey objectives. These services are offered at hourly rates. The work can be done at our office or the Client's office.
